What I'm Thankful For

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
-Pslams 136:1

I like Thanksgiving because it is positive. As much as we all complain, it's nice to hear everyone talk positively about what they are thankful for. And since I too took some time to be unusually (isn't that sad) thankful over the Thanksgiving break, I decided to make a list of eleven things I am thankful for as opposed to the "usual" ten.

-The Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The only reason I'm alive, literally. He created me, loves me, and gives me hope. I will never be able to fully comprehend how grateful I should be.

-My Mom: She is one of the strongest people I know; I don't know how she does it.

-UNC-Wilmington: The vast majority of people in the world don't have the opportunity or finances to attend a university.

-My Health: I have absolutely no health issues (at the moment). And even if I did, I live in a country where I am able to receive help.

-My Friends: Your friends determine the quality and direction of your life; if you are reading this, thank you.

-Duke Basketball: I love sports, and Duke makes it easy to enjoy college basketball!

-Christina Cramer: Inspirational, encouraging, and beautiful.

-Port City Community Church: For giving me the opportunity to grow in my faith and equipping and training me for my future.

-The Bible: The most complete and fulfilling book that will ever be written. Astounded that the God of the universe has given us just a small portion of His eternal wisdom.

-Laughter: Laughter has the ability to make every situation better.

-My Dad: You have made me who I am today, I am forever grateful. See you soon.

And now Christmas season can finally begin! For those of you who suppress all the joys of Christmas until after Thanksgiving, you can now quit pouting and join the rest of us!
